Sangkaya Queensbay Mall | Matcha Coconut Ice Cream

I am back being nuts about coconuts!
Sangkaya has established their third outlet in Penang at Queensbay Mall early November,
blessing those who are staying in the area to not having to travel all the way down to Gurney Plaza.
You can read my previous post on their outlet in Gurney Plaza here.
Located at the basement next to AEON bakery, there isn't any tables or chairs available
but only a big bench in front of the kiosk so customers are encouraged to do take-away instead.
Ever since I tried their coconut milkshake, my highest record of drinking it was three times in a week.
It was really addictive-ly good.
Chendol [RM10.50] | Coconut Water [RM5.20]
Their rendition of the local chendol had a little twice where it was loaded with coconut ice-creams,
grass jelly, coconut flesh strips,  sweet corn, sprinkled with peanuts, coconut flakes and palm sugar.
As for the coconut water, don't be afraid because it's pink!
Based on research, the color was caused by phenolic-antioxidant compounds
reacting to the enzymes of the coconut water. It is totally safe to be consumed and not harmful to the body.
The must-have signature at Sangkaya, they have launched a limited edition flavor to celebrate the jolly season!
Signature Teh Ijo Coconut Ice Cream [RM10.50]
Four scoops of matcha coconut ice-cream sided with cranberries in coconut husk with coconut flesh strips underneath.
As usual, you can select 3 toppings from the 7 they offer - coconut flakes, sweet corn, roasted peanuts,
cereal, corn flakes, kidney beans and chocolate sauce.
The limited edition flavor is available now while stock last, so hurry before it is all sold out!

Huge thanks to Sangkaya Queensbay Mall for the treat and Jeslyn for being my hand model!
