G Hotel Penang | Gems of Heirloom Art Exhibition

Cupcake on the rocks coming right up!
Before we hop onto food which we usually get tonnes of them at G Hotel
cause the people here, especially Christina(Marcom Director) are easily the best host
we can ever have in Penang, let's talk about art.
And also I held my DSLR wrong.

George R.Tow, a local artist received the worst news that anyone could hear 10 years ago.
He was left with less than a year to live.
Depressed and devastated, he saw a vision one day and heard a voice asking him to keep painting.
So he did, 10 years later, he's still painting and this is his very first solo art exhibition.
Using colours and strokes(my favourite kind), George portrays his emotions and feelings
in the concept of space and time. There are 16 painting showcased on the first floor of the hotel,
G Art Gallery. They are available for sale from 7 September to 31 October.
The name of the exhibition is called Gems of Heirloom
George wants art collectors who purchase his paintings to pass them down
to their heir so that they could be appreciated for generations.
 Whose nose is this?
After the art exhibition launch we ate at G Lounge!
Prepared freshly daily by Chef Khoo Kang Theng,
there are 10 flavours of big cupcakes and 3 flavours for the mini cupcakes.
The big ones are priced at RM12 each while the mini ones are priced at RM12 for 2.
What I love about their cupcakes is that they're not too sweet.
That's perfect cause you can eat as many as you want without feeling cloy :3
They also have macaroons with 2 different flavours!
Try their Bitter Sweet promo where you get a cupcake of your choice and a cup of coffee/tea.
Oh and they go perfectly with a glass of rosé!
Spinach Dip [RM24]
Thai Crab Cake
Charcoal Burger [RM35]
Mushroom Quiche [RM24]
They have also added 12 new bar bites to their food menu!
My favourite one would be the Spinach Dip, never loved spinach but when they put
spinach, cheese and cream together on toasted French bread, everything became heavenly.
The dip also goes very well with French fries too!
Meanwhile, you get to choose chicken or beef patty for the Charcoal Burger.
Didn't expect the patty to be so juicy! Probably because it's homemade instead of frozen.
If you're craving for some finger food, I highly recommend their Chilli Wedges!
I know it sounded nothing to shout about, but trust me, cause I had 2 servings of it :B

Huge thanks to G Hotel for the invitation, the art exhibition is truly inspiring :)
And of course, thanks for feeding me.
