Homie Delights Guesthouse Penang

This has gotta be the oddest post I've ever written as few months back,
I stayed at this guesthouse, which is 15-minutes walk from my house.
Quick facts:
- Free two-way airport transfer
- Free parking all day
- Free WIFI
- Rooms are all air-conditioned
- Bathroom amenities: Towel, hair dryer, hair wash and body wash
- Laundry and ironing available
- Complimentary daily local light traditional breakfast
Situated in Jalan Irving, Homie Delights guesthouse has a pretty strategic location -
Penang Times Square is just opposite, bus stand, F&B outlets including McDonalds(24-hours),
New Lane hawker centre and cafes are within walking distance.

Since opening in March 2014, they have received quite a number of positive feedback.
The place is clean and neat, equipped with everything you need.
A sunny area to dry and iron your clothes, TV as your company whenever you're bored.
There are 3 toilets in total; Bathroom amenities such as towel,
hair wash and body wash are included. Most importantly, WIFI is available for free!
Now let's take a look upstairs, shall we?
At the end of second floor is their common area and laundry place, where guests mingle,
have conversations while sipping coffee and of course, do their laundry.
No idea how to use a washing machine? No problem.
Step-by-step instructions available to save lives for reference.
Snacks are available at the counter, great news for those who are always peckish like me.
And there's no need to worry to have bad breath
if you forgot to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.
Now, to the rooms!
Room type: Prince of Wales Island Room
Biggest room available, this one is able to accommodate maximum of 10 persons.
Ideal for big family group or a gang of friends to rest their feet.
In love with these vintage windows!

Room type: Province of Wellesley
Accommodates maximum of 4 persons as well.
Room type: Baba
My room for a day that accommodates up to 3 persons.
It was pretty spacious and comfy, queen-size bed ftw!

- Air-conditioner
- Comfy beds with linen and blanket
- Clothes rack
- Hair dryer
- Mirror(very important)

Done with exploring the guesthouse, now it's time for adventure!

If you haven't done any researches on where to go in Penang,
fret not as they provide brochures highlighting interesting and must-go places.
If you don't have your own vehicle, cars are available to rent as well as guided tour!
Details are at the bottom, please be patient.
Stepped out of the guesthouse and spotted one of my favorite cafes, 67 Coffee Mansion!
Tried their new item on the menu, Very Belly.

Soul Cafe is a stone throw away from the guesthouse too!
Read more about them here.

The very famous charcoal char koay teow in Siam Road is just around the corner!
The queue takes up to an hour sometimes, didn't have the time patience so we skipped this.
Hopped to a few cafes and came back to the moon beaming at us.
Strolled the streets a little and decided to call it a day.
Congkak, board games and card games are available at the common area.
This is fun when you're with a bunch of friend but not when you're ... alone.
Threw myself a mini slumber party in the room with a packet of Mister Potato chips,
a cup noodles that I have missed eating and a glass of wine.

Prices included two-way direct airport/bus/ferry transfer upon request and subject to season.
Normal rate for one-way cab service to the airport is RM45, which means,
they're giving you a two-way transfer service of RM90 for free, such a catch!
The tour is 10hours/day around Penang island, with petrol and parking fees included.
Talk to the driver whether you want a free and easy one or you would like
them to customize a itinerary for you. It's free of charge!

Price rates for car rental.

Huge thanks to Homie Delights for hosting and Eng Aun for arranging!
